Analogue X haben mit „“Course of life“ ein gefühlsbestimmtes Album im Stile des Electro- Pop fabriziert. Die Vocals sind individuell an die Songs angepasst. Mal geht es flotter zu, mal emotionaler oder trauriger. Thematisch geht es um Liebe, Freundschaft, Schmerz und Abschied.
„Dark Shadow“ ist eher etwas flott und dynamisch. Der Titel ist dunkel angehaucht und gefällt gut. Mit Selbstbewußtsein solle man das, was andere über einen denken nicht beachten. „Fighting for your aims/ What the others also tell you/ Leaves you quite cold“„Rising in the dark“ ist auch gut gemacht. Der Song ist nach vorne gerichtet und geht gut ab.
„Leave it in the Dome“ wirft einen Blick auf Freundschaften und Enttäuschungen. „As she cry, again tonight/ Disappointed, by disguise/ All the man, my best friends, try again to hind“„Living together“ ist ein cooles Liebeslied. „Only one does not forget, I am always there for you/ And if you even miss me, then our love is true“. In „My Kingdom“ geht es auch um enge emotionale Beziehungen und Liebe. „When we dream, I am your hero, in this world/ Here is my kingdom“
„Angel Heart“ ist einer der Favorites auf dem Silberling. Hier handelt es sich um einen herkömmlichen Love-Song. „But coming home – home to you – I'm coming home/ You are my Angel Heart“ In „The Last Word“ geht es um Traurigkeit und Abschied. Der Titel ist von Melancholie geprägt. „It was quiet around me, your voice has gone/ And you went into another World.“
Im Longplayer geht es aber auch um Illusionen, Täuschungen und Wünsche. So heißt es in „Just an illusion “: „Just an Illusion come, nothing do the same, will be my wanting now/ It's time to go, nothing in the world describe“
„Course Of Life“ ist ein bedächtiges Werk, es stimmt nachdenklich und legt Wert auf bewußte Momente. Der Longplayer legt ein Augenmerk auf die Betonung des Augenblicks. Trotz alledem ist es abwechslungsreich gestaltet. Das emotionale Themenspektrum wird auf eine sehr gute Weise elektronisch umgesetzt. Die Synths untermalen die Tracks anspruchsvoll und setzen es gut hörbar um.
